Security and data privacy

Straight answers about how Knowster handles your data.

Short answer: Knowster answers only from the content you give it, serves everything over HTTPS, does not use your content to train public models, and lets you delete your data at any time.

Your content stays your content

Knowster builds a private knowledge base from the website and documents you provide. Your chatbot answers from that knowledge base and nothing else. Your content is not used to train shared or public AI models.

Encryption in transit

The dashboard, the widget, and every API call are served over HTTPS/TLS. Traffic between a visitor's browser and Knowster is encrypted.

Frequently asked questions

Does Knowster use my content to train AI models?

No. Your content builds a private knowledge base that only your chatbot answers from. It is not used to train shared or public AI models.

Is my data encrypted?

Yes. The dashboard, the widget, and every API call are served over HTTPS/TLS, so traffic between a visitor's browser and Knowster is encrypted.

Can I delete my data?

Yes, at any time. Remove a document, a site, or your whole account and the underlying content is removed from the knowledge base. Disconnecting a synced source purges the documents it synced.

Can one site's chatbot answer from another site's content?

No. Each site's knowledge base is isolated, so one site never answers from another site's content.

Where does the chatbot get its answers?

Only from the content you provide. Knowster answers from your private knowledge base and nothing else.
